I'm a former high school and collegiate ice hockey player turned runner. I started with road marathons around the world and then discovered the joys of trail running. This eventually led me to the world of obstacle course racing, which I love! It's such a great, multi-disciplined sport with a wonderful community. I qualified to be an elite Spartan athlete for the 2020 season after several age group podium finishes. Unfortunately, that season didn't happen but fingers crossed for next year!
I currently live in Denver but making the move up to Boulder in several weeks. I spend quite a bit of time mountain running in Breckenridge though, where my parents live. By day, I'm the business & finance editor for Oracle. However, I'm starting a group fitness instructor and personal training job at Cerus Fitness when they open next week! I will be teaching speed, strength, stamina, HIIT and OCR classes, which I am incredibly excited about. I find it immensely rewarding to share my passion for fitness, so I think this role will be a great fit for me.
